Quicks, Tenth
I woke up yesterday. It was 2012. There’s supposed to be some significance in that. I can’t find it. — Oh, look! Here’s a glass, it’s half empty!

When I ask for advice, I’ve noticed, I don’t really look for the most logical, sensible answers. I only really wait for a good nudge, an uttered suggestion that reinforces my already-there inclinations. I guess sometimes some things just need to be said out loud to affirm what we already know to be “true”.

Today I found that there’s a considerable similarity between going to the gym and drinking alcohol: they both make you feel like you’re the sexiest person on planet Earth. Between these two means, I’ve found, the more convenient, effortless option is more appealing to me.

In most friendships, there will always be the factor of distance to contend with, especially when those involved go on to take on new phases in their life in new places. How much these friends know of each other’s life milestones as they unfold despite physical distance, I think, is a good measure of how enduring and how genuine that friendship is.

People have this itch for newness every now and then. That’s normal. — I think I may have dived into a pool caterpillars without my knowing.
